Fall has always been my favorite time of year in New York. It's strange now that I spend my falls on the other coast, where things seem to never change. Not that I would really trade it for anything, I'm having too much fun on this show and get to work with some of the best people. Although I'm looking forward to a break, spending most of December in Ireland. It's a luxury I still make time for. Although New York is my adopted home, Ireland will always be my true home. Sometimes it's like stepping into the past and other times it's like visiting a dream I barely remember. And then it will be back to work. The new album drops next month and I will be going on tour in the new year, something I haven't done recently and honestly can't wait to do again. New places and faces, new experiences. I love everything about it.

Born in County Kilkenny in Ireland, Jack lived there with his parents until they were killed in 1987, at which point he was sent to live with his paternal grandfather in Dublin. Jack lived there for two years until his grandfather could no longer care for him. At nine he was sent to NYC to live with his Aunt Colleen, who had just graduated college, and her boyfriend Hank. New York was a huge culture shock and at times unforgiving, making friends was hard for him and he was often teased for his accent. He became more withdrawn and quiet and to open him up his aunt put him in theatre workshops. He got a few small parts in movies before stopping once his aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a year long battle, it appeared she beat the cancer and life went back to normal. Jack would spend his afternoons at Hank's repair shop where they were rebuilding a vintage motorcycle together or in the Drama club at school. At the age of sixteen his aunts cancer returned and spread quickly and there was nothing they could do. Hank legally adopted him and Jack spent much of his free time by his aunts side. Her last wish to him was to see him perform on stage, something he loved more then anything. Having nothing to lose, he auditioned for the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway. He had no hope of getting a role, he just wanted to tell his aunt that he did it. Much to his shock he was cast as the lead role and ran to tell his aunt. Hours after sharing the news with her, she died. After her death, Jack and Hank tried to piece together a family, even though they were not blood related, Hank was the closest thing Jack had to a father and the two became very close. Jack threw himself into theatre for several years, always feeling closest to his aunt when he was performing. Hank never missed an opening night. After five years on Broadway his agent convinced him to take a part in a movie and he found that he enjoyed it a lot. He decided to take a small break from theatre and is currently focusing on his movie career.
